Day 1: M’hamid - Sacred Oasis - Erg Chegaga
The tour around the majestic dunes of Erg Chegaga starts from M’hamid El Ghizlane in the afternoon. After being picked up at that time, you will drive off-road around 1h: 30 minutes to reach the highest majestic dunes of Erg Chegaga. The landscapes vary from palm trees to picturesque Erg (sand dune) and reg (rocky dune) while you are driving towards Erg Chegaga. You will have a short break at the sacred oasis of Oum Lâalag, a recognized source of water for Nomads and their flocks. After that short visit, you will resume driving to arrive at Erg Chegaga. It is the magic place where you will smile from ear to ear. On the majestic dunes of Erg Chegaga, you will experience the sandboarding, feel the tranquility of the Sahara Desert, and enjoy the stunning sunset in the heart of the sahara desert surrounded by 15 km of dunes (300 m high). After seeing the stunning sunset, you will stay overnight in the Sahara desert camp in which dinner will be served and local music be played around the campfire. There, you will exchange songs and stories, gaze at the shining stars, and sleep in a comfortable Nomadic tent.
Day 2: Erg Chegaga - M’hamid.
After the stunning sunrise and super breakfast in the camp, you will drive back to M’hamid El Ghizlane.
